Terms & Conditions
App: Asslema
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Asslema mobile application (the “App”) and the related online services it relies on (the “Service”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the App.
1. Who provides the App
The App and the Service are provided by the Asslema team (the “Developer”). Contact: info@getasslema.com.
2. What the App is
Asslema is an educational app that helps you learn vocabulary in Tunisian Arabic. It includes a vocabulary list, optional audio playback for selected items, and a multiple-choice quiz. The App is provided free of charge and does not include advertising.
3. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not, except as expressly permitted by applicable law, copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, or create derivative works of the App, nor remove any proprietary notice it contains.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the App and the Service in good faith. In particular, you agree not to:
- scrape, mirror, or systematically download the content of the Service;
- circumvent or attempt to circumvent any protection or rate-limit mechanism;
- use the Service in a way that imposes a disproportionate load on the infrastructure;
- use the Service to build a competing product or to redistribute its content.
The Developer may rate-limit, suspend, or block any device or IP that appears to violate these rules.
5. Educational content
The vocabulary, translations, and audio recordings are provided for educational purposes only. They are best-effort and may not match every regional variant or context. You should not rely on them in situations where accuracy is critical (such as professional translation, legal interpretation, or medical communication) without independent verification.
6. Intellectual property
The App, its source code, the curated vocabulary, the audio recordings, the user interface, and the “Asslema” name remain the property of the Developer, except for third-party components used under their respective licenses. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property right to you beyond the limited license described in section 3.
7. Third-party platforms
The App is distributed through third-party stores and runs on operating systems provided by third parties. Your use of those platforms is also subject to their own terms, which the Developer does not control.
8. Privacy
Your use of the App is also subject to the Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App and the Service are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the content will always be available.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App or the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable mandatory consumer-protection law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. The Developer may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or if continued operation is no longer feasible. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
12. Changes
The Developer may update the App, the content of the Service, or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute shall be brought before the competent courts of France, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence grant you the right to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction.
